CIVIL ENGINEERING
The Department of Civil Engineering at Rajkiya Engineering College, Mainpuri, was very first branch, here, established in 2015 as the pioneering branch of the institute. It offers a B.Tech program with an annual intake of 60 students and is affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow.
The department is committed to producing competent, ethical, and industry-ready civil engineers. It is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories across all major domains of Civil Engineering, ensuring strong practical exposure. With a focus on experiential learning, the department engages students through hundreds of live industrial projects throughout the year, helping bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world applications.
Students of the department have shown commendable performance in various national and state-level examinations including UPSC IES, State Engineering Services, Defense Services, and other core engineering sectors. Many students have published research papers during their undergraduate studies and secured admissions to prestigious institutions such as IITs, NITs, and IIMs, highlighting the department’s emphasis on academic excellence and higher learning.
The department has also established itself as a hub for applied research and industry collaboration. Within a short span of time, it has successfully completed consultancy and testing projects worth crores, and thousands in numbers, contributing significantly to infrastructure development in the region. These real-time projects have created a collaborative learning environment, where students directly benefit by participating in industrial testing, training, and fieldwork—gaining insights into site practices, reporting, and client interaction.
In recognition of its research culture, students from the department have consecutively secured funding from the Council of Science and Technology (CST), Uttar Pradesh, for their innovative research projects. This achievement underscores the department’s commitment to promoting undergraduate research and fostering a culture of scientific inquiry and innovation.
